St Peters Tennis Club

Welcome to St Peter's Tennis club. We are located on Palmerston St in Hamilton.

The club has 7 courts - 6 astro-turf and 1 hard - all of which are flood lit. We cater to all ages from Junior through to Veteran.

All members are invited to the AGM on Tuesday night.

As well as general business and setting the fees for the next season there will be the Club Champs Awards presentation.

Vets Tournament May 2010

The annual Vets Tournament held on the weekend May 1st/2nd was a great success. Many thanks to all involved.

Club Champs Results April 2010

In the Senior Club Champs, Frances Cheyne once again turned away all pretenders to her throne. Trish Baird gave a strong account of herself and no doubt will be back stronger for another tilt at the singles next year.

Tony Whitaker took the Men’s title in a tight contest over Ralph Blackburn. From then on it was a case of the Cheyne / Blackburn procession with Toshiko Mackinnon partnering Frances in the Women’s doubles for victory, Niall Fuller joining Ralph for a Men’s Doubles title and then Ralph and Frances securing the mixed title together.

Congratulations to all participants, of course in particular the victors. My challenge to all serious tennis players would be to challenge the dominance of the Blackburn / Cheyne dynasty next year!

NEW MEMBERS WELCOME - 2009 /10 season has commenced 1st October 2009.

St Peters club night ‘Grand Slam of Tennis’.

St Peters Tennis in partnership with SPT Coaching services are proud to present the club night Grand Slam for 2010.

To coincide with the four Grand Slam events we will hold a tournament using the Yankee scoring system on designated club nights (to work alongside the second week of each Slam event). Read more ....
